DVS bands preparing for ProgPower!

VOYAGER, CHAOSWAVE and NOVA ART are ready to rock at ProgPower Europe 2006! Italian band CHAOSWAVE will do a short tour around ProgPower with gigs in France, Germany and Belgium. For the exact tourdates please check their website, www.chaoswave.it. VOYAGER will travel all the way down from Australia to perform at ProgPower this year and they will attend the Popkomm event to promote themselves. The band has just recorded the second released that will be mixed and mastered during the next couple of months, the release will most likely see daylight early 2007. Russian band NOVA ART, of which DVS Records distributes the debut CD "The Art Of Nova", also has accepted the invitation to play at ProgPower this year and is really looking forward to it. For both VOYAGER as well as NOVA ART it will be the first performance outside their home country.
 

 
ProgPower Europe 2006 is the prestigious festival that presents a lot of new talents together with some of the more established bands in the metal scene. The festival will be held for the 8th time this year, this year with bands such as Mercenary, Scar Symmetry, Communic and Riverside. Nova Art distributed in The Netherlands and Belgium!

With proud we announce the distribution of the debut CD by the Russian band NOVA ART, entitled "The Art Of Nova". The band plays some kind of original progressive rock/metal and have created their very own sound already with this debutCD. The album was released by Valiant Records in Russia only, DVS Records will now promote and distribute the album in The Netherlands and Belgium.
 
NOVA ART was formed by composer and vocalist Andrey 'Nova' to perform modern intellectual heavy music inspired by art-rock, heavy and progressive metal, with elements of alternative and nu-metal. The band started back in 2000, "The Art Of Nova" was released in Russia at the end of 2005.
 
Recently the band has done a few gigs in Russia, with a new line-up the band is now preparing for their first trip outside Russia. NOVA ART will play the prestigious ProgPower Europe festival in Baarlo, The Netherlands, where they will share the stage with bands such as Scar Symmetry, Mercenary, Communic and Riverside. Chaoswave recording new demo!

Italian band CHAOSWAVE will record a new demo to start already promotion for their second album, to be released someday in 2007. The band will record 3 new tracks: "Picture Perfect", "The Evident" and "Two Shadows Cast". According to guitarist Henrik Renstrup the songs will be more melody, more speed, more brutality.
 
In September the band will do some gigs in France, Germany and The Netherlands. During this short tour the band will already play 1 or 2 new songs, so that will give the people a good impression in what direction the band will continue. New service offered!

We now have started a new service: promotion and distribution in The Netherlands and Belgium. We take fully care of the promotion, distribution to the stores and mailorder companies will be done by our partner Bertus Distribution, the biggest retailer for The Benelux. There are several possibilities, from full promotion with advertisings until a simple start with sending out promos to the most important media people. The first album we distribute is "The Art Of Nova" by the Russian band NOVA ART.
 
We still will concentrate on quality releases of bands who have released an album on their own, or we can work out details for record labels that are looking for a partner in The Netherlands and Belgium. Keep in mind that we still concentrate on progressive metal related releases, but in a very wide range. So if you think your album fits our label, please contact us to discuss details.

VOYAGER announce new members!

VOYAGER announce new members! The band has parted ways with Emanuel and Geoff and wishes them the best of luck for the future. This is what frontman Daniel has to say about the situation: "Our new guitarist Simone Dow is a fantastic musician and an awesome addition to the band. She's only 21 years old and brings a fresh new look and sound to VOYAGER. Musically she is one of the easiest people I have ever worked with. For the new album we have engaged Mark Boeijen on drums, whose technique and style add a whole new dimension to the music. It's an absolute pleasure having him on board!"
 
The band will be flying to Sydney in Melbourne in March to do shows with LORD (ex-DUNGEON) and TRANSCENDING MORTALITY in Sydney and hopefully at CRIMSON FIRE's CD launch in Melbourne. VOYAGER will offer a taste of what's to come on the new album at these shows, the album will be released later this year.

Promotion THE AURORA PROJECT and CHAOSWAVE continues!

Because we have changed several distribution deals in Europe the promotion for both THE AURORA PROJECT and CHAOSWAVE debut CDs continues. Within the next few days the promotion for these albums will finally start in Germany. Our new distribution company SX Distribution does a fantastic job already in the background, they are preparing the promotion in a professional way, soon the first 100 promo copies will be send to the media in Germany. We are very curious to see what the German media thinks of these releases, in countries where the CDs are already available the reactions were more than positive, on both albums. CHAOSWAVE is doing extremely wel in France, the band will do a couple of shows in France in April.
 
In countries like Spain, UK and Scandinavia we are working out the details with new partners now, so we hope to start the promotion there in a couple of weeks. In the USA the first 100 promo copies will also be send to the media one of these days. Cindy Bird, our promotion agent for the USA, is preparing the details now, so the media in the US can expect a package with both CHAOSWAVE and THE AURORA PROJECT any day now. As you can see we are making some serious progression now, we take it slow because we do not want to make the same mistakes as we did in the past, especially because of the though situation in the music business these days.
