As you probably have noticed, the DVS Records website was down for a while. Several reasons were due to the fact that the site was down, we will spare you all details. Right now we are working on a new website that will see daylight around May, than we will also announce the latest news about the label. The last couple of months we have taken it very slow because of several reasons, but we will be back this year!
We have had some serious problems with our online mailorder, those of you who have ordered CDs through our website over the last 6 months but who did not get the CDs, please drop and email to info@dvsrecords.com and we will be sure you will get your package.
The order page is also back online now, so you still will be able to order our CDs for a reasonable price.
Within 5 weeks the 8th edition of ProgPower Europe 2006 will take place, CHAOSWAVE, VOYAGER and NOVA ART will all perform this prestigious festival together with bands such as Mercenary, Communic, Riverside and Scar Symmetry. Be sure not to miss this festival!

DVS Records have started a new service, promotion and distribution of self-released albums in The Netherlands and Belgium. We take care of the promotion to the media, our distribution partner Bertus takes care of the distribution to the stores, mailorder companies, etc.
The first band we signed for a distribution deal is the Russian band NOVA ART, their debut CD "The Art Of Nova" will be out in the stores in The Netherlands and Belgium early September. NOVA ART plays some very original progressive rock/metal, they have created already a very own sound. The band will play the prestigious ProgPower Europe festival in Baarlo, The Netherlands, the first gig they will play outside Russia.

Australian band VOYAGER have finished recordings all the tracks for their upcoming CD "Univers", scheduled to be released later this year, early 2007. But before the new CD will be out, the band is pleased to announce their new, limited edition single release "Sober". The CD includes the title track as radio edit, full LP mix, and video. These, along with 2 other tracks, represent a sampling of the band's upcoming CD and it is available for sale throught their homepage.

 After a while we finally have agreed a full distribution deal for Scandinavia, with GMR Music Group, an Independent Music Company based in Stockholm,Sweden. Since 2000 their primary aim has been to introduce exciting new artists to the music world, as well as re-releasing interesting albums with improved sound quality and packaging. In 2004 GMR Music Group expanded their business to include distribution for other record labels in Sweden and we are working with one of the best independent distributors in Sweden. Recently they also agreed some good deals with other partners in Scandinavia to distribute releases of other labels, so we really look forward to this new deal.
This means that in the next couple of weeks we will send out full promo package to the media in Scandinavia, to be started with CHAOSWAVE and THE AURORA PROJECT. After that we also will send some promos we have left from previous releases, like DYNAMIC LIGHTS and VOYAGER. If you would like to review and album or interview one of our bands for a media resource in Sweden, Finland, Norway or Denmark please get in touch with us and we will see what we can do.

THE AURORA PROJECT recently joined booking agency Bold Brothers Entertainment. The Belgium agency will book the band exclusively in the BENELUX. First result is a mini-Tour in September with acclaimed progressive rock-acts Riverside and VandenPlas.

After a break we are back in business. We enjoyed a lovely holiday in Norway, probably the most impressive country of Europe. We can recommend it to everyone who hates the crowdy beaches in the south of Europe and wants to try out something different. Anyway, what is happening with DVS Records these days? Well, we will continue promoting Chaoswave and The Aurora Project with some new distribution deals to come. We will start a new service for the Dutch and Belgian market to distribute CDs for bands that self-released their album and we will soon announce the news of our upcoming 2 releases.
Expect the first news within a few weeks, we are preparing the promotion in The Netherlands and Belgium for a Russian band now. Say stay tuned for more news.
