And even if the roots of the ensemble are linked to the intimate/dramatic progressive metal that characterizes bands like Pain Of Salvation and Fates Warning, we must say that Wolverine are able to create a path of their own, a path that develops into something new and exciting.

Wolverine for me is one of the best hopes for the future of progressive metal. Like most pioneers, the band took progressive music one step, to say the least, forward. Wolverine sounds musically like a more aggressive approach to Fates Warning from the "Parallels" era, with more keyboards also. Even the voice of Stefan Zell is, at times, familiar with that of Ray Alder.
